Halal cultivated meat

The global Halal food market is growing to meet the dietary demands of a rapidly increasing Muslim population, set to comprise 30% of the global population by mid-century. In partnership with Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and Real World Health, we explored the Halal status of cultivated meat, consumer expectations and needs, and the extent to which novel alternative protein products are likely to appeal to Muslim consumers in emerging markets in Asia and Africa.
